Echo Chamber on the new stuttering paradigm: Introducing Dr Cristóbal Loriente

I’ve been wondering recently if there is an emerging paradigmatic view on the stuttering phenomenon.  One that is either in congruenc with (or stemming from) the neurophysiological view on stuttering that does not lose the forrest from the trees: That stuttering is, first and foremost, an experiential phenomenon (as opposed to a simple “speech problem”).  That much of what we think we know about stuttering–we either do not know or is entirely wrong.  And the best way to help people who stutter is by working on the stuttering experience, rather than speech itself.

It seems as if Dr Cristóbal Loriente agrees w/ me.  (Thanks, Hiten, for the find.)  Ladies and Gentlement, Dr Cristóbal Loriente
